About this site
This site is built using valid XHTML 1.0 Strict for markup and CSS for presentation. A modern web browser is needed to make the most out of this site, but thanks to the separation of content and presentation it should be accessible to any browsing device. By building for standards instead of specific web browsers I can spend less time testing and working around browser bugs and quirks. Standards also mean smaller, faster loading pages, code that is easier to maintain, centralized control of layout and design, better accessibility, higher search engine rankings and many other good things.
If you’ve come here using IE6/Win, for example, some things might look a little different than the way I intended them to look. Don’t worry though – most of the things that differ are just little enhancements. Besides, I figure a lot of the people coming here will be interested in web standards, and use a modern, standards compliant web browser, like these:
Accessibility is important to me, and I've tried to make this site accessible to everybody, regardless of what browsing device is used. If you find something that needs improvement to make the site even more accessible, please let me know.
Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site.
- Internet Explorer, you can press "ALT + access key + ENTER";
- With Firefox, you can press "ALT + SHIFT + access key";
- On Macintosh, you can press "CTRL + access key".
The following access keys are available throughout this site:
- Access key 1 - Home
- Access key 2 - Portfolio
- Access key 3 - About
- Access key 4 - Contact
If you have any comments on this site or any of my entries, or any questions you want to ask me, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
